You cannot get the same service from your bank. ACHeck21 offers services that are not available through banks. For example: ACHeck21 maintains a secure archive of your images for 36 months, which is easily accessible at no charge through the internet. ACHeck21 also provides an output file for accounting packages such as Quickbooks in a standard CSV file format and auto endorses your check. ACHeck21is certified with the Visioneer OneTouch technology. While some banks offer remote deposit scanning, none offer the total ease of use that Visioneer OneTouch technology provides. If you travel for business and take your mobile scanner, Visioneer OneTouch allows ACHeck21 to travel with you. In addition if you have multiple locations, no problem. Add as many scanners as you like and manage them all from the same the main office.

It’s simple. Scan the check using a Visioneer or Xerox Scanner equipped with Visioneer OneTouch into the ACHeck21 on-line process, and then after viewing the check images to make sure they are legible and the check amount is correct, click DEPOSIT. The money will be sent to your bank account electronically.

ACHeck21, as the name implies, supports both ACH and Check 21. Depending on how you conduct business and the types of checks you accept, the system will know which format to use automatically.

Generally you can accept any type of two party check payment that is legal.

Yes, if the check is drawn on a U. S. Bank located in the United States and you are depositing it into a U. S. Bank located in the United States.

After you send in your deposit (if during business hours), available funds are sent to your bank the next business day. Otherwise, it will be the following business day.

The checks limit will be determined based on the underwriting of your business in the application process.

There are no banking laws that require you to retain the converted check for any period of time, but you must endorse the check and confirm that the image captured during conversion clearly shows the front and back of the check and can be easily read by the check writer’s bank. It is then recommended that you keep the original check for 14 days after it clears your bank. You must securely store the check to prevent re-scanning or re-deposit of the check document. This includes protecting the check writer’s personal information and bank account information on the check from being copied or shared for any purpose.

You should always let your customer know their check will be deposited electronically and that checks returned for insufficient funds will be assessed the highest NSF fee allowed by law.

ACHeck21 currently runs check processing for a wide variety of users – from small offices doing a few checks per month to large financial institutions processing hundreds of thousands of checks per month. ACHeck21 offers high volume solutions for grocery stores, lockboxes, banks, credit unions, insurance companies and utilities. ACHeck21 also offers low volume nationwide enterprise solutions for national retailers that want to accept and deposit checks electronically from each local store but have deposits and reporting controlled from the corporate offices.

ACHeck21 is certified on Visioneer OneTouch. As long as your scanner is Visioneer OneTouch compatible, ACHeck21 will work without making any changes to your ACHeck21 account.

In addition to the information you provide on the application, you will need to provide:

• A copy of your driver’s license.
• A voided check for the account into which you want your deposits to be sent.
• If you are a business, a document showing you are in business. Your business address must match the address on your check. Typical documents include one of the following: paid receipt for an occupational license, an occupational license, a certificate of good standing etc.
• If you are a nonprofit, a document showing your existence. Your organizaton’s address must match the address on your voided check. Typical documents include one of the following: copy of organizational documents, letter from the IRS or state agency showing your are tax exempt, cover page of your tax return showing your name and address.
• A bank statement may be required if your average check is over $500 and or you process over 1,000 checks per month

The account can be a checking account or savings account. The bank account information must match the information provided on your application.

As with any financial service there will be an application process. You will be asked to complete personal information about you and your business that will be used to underwrite the risk associated with depositing checks from third parties. Such things as credit score and the number and dollar amount of checks you plan to deposit will be evaluated.

After we receive all the information requested it will take about 3 business days to complete the application process.

The contract is for one year and automatically renews for one year terms unless cancelled in accordance with the terms and conditions.

You may cancel at any time during the first 30 days of use without penalty. After the initial 30 days cancellation will result in a $150.00 cancellation fee.

That is one of the advantages of ACHeck21. If you change banks simply notify us before the account is closed and ACHeck21 will follow you. If you change your designated deposit account to a new bank or new account at the same bank, notify us as well. We go with you wherever you go.

That is another advantage of ACHeck21. If you sell your business simply notify us before changing or assigning the business bank account. ACHeck21 will arrange for the new owner to assume the service subject to underwriting. If you are moving to a new business, arrangements can be made for ACHeck21 to follow you.

Your deposit is converted to binary code and then encrypted by leading edge 256-bit encryption technology currently in use by financial institutions. All information concerning your account is only available to those ACHeck21 employees who have a need to know and your account information is not provided to unrelated parties including Visioneer for any reason unless subpoenaed by a court. The ACHeck21 servers are located in a highly secure SAS70 facility that meets the highest security standards. A SAS70 II audit is performed annually by an independent auditor.

Since we are in the electronic funds transfer business, we will be electronically deducting the fees from your checking account on a monthly basis. This is spelled out in the application.

It’s easy. If you think you will accept less than 25 checks per month you need to select the ACHeck21 Associate level. If you believe you will take more than 25 but less than 75 checks per month select the ACHeck21 Manager level. Anything over 75 checks up to 2,500 checks per month select the ACHeck21 Professional.
